Your roster stays with you.
Crew Calendar reads your roster PDF inside your browser. It does not upload PDF files or store roster contents in a shared database.
Google permissions
Google handles account selection and consent. The app uses your account identifier and email to identify the connected account. A short-lived access token stays in browser memory; reloading or closing the page loses it.
The app requests permission to read your calendar list (names and metadata) to find a Crew Roster calendar you own. It does not use that permission to read unrelated calendars’ event contents. Event access uses the calendar.app.created scope, which lets it create secondary calendars and manage events on calendars it created.
Before and after you approve
Connecting and previewing read calendar metadata and existing managed events. They do not create calendars or write duties. Your first approved sync creates a Crew Roster calendar if needed. Approved syncs send duty titles, routes, dates, report/release times, segment details and matching metadata directly to Google. Names and crew IDs from the PDF header are omitted. Confirmed removals delete managed events missing from a declared complete-month roster.
Each account is separate
Calendar requests use the currently connected Google account’s token. Roster data and tokens are not stored by the website server or shared with other crew members. Browser storage may retain your last selected calendar ID and account identifier, plus a flag if calendar creation was interrupted. Calendar discovery works on a new device without copying IDs.
Hosting and third parties
The host serves app assets and may keep normal access logs such as IP addresses. Google receives sign-in, calendar discovery, preview and approved-sync requests under its own policies. The application adds no analytics service.
Disconnect and remove data
Disconnect clears the in-memory token, uploaded file selection, parsed roster and preview, and asks Google to revoke authorization. It leaves your calendar events intact. You can revoke access in your Google Account settings, clear this site’s browser storage, and remove the Crew Roster calendar in Google Calendar.
